BACKGROUND: Research was commissioned to explore current perceptions of the park. The results indicated that the African theme should be capitalised on, including development of the "Plains of Africa" theme and rebranding the park as an African experience.
BRIEF: Re-launch the attraction using African animals as the focus.
IDEA: "Africa Alive".
RESULTS: Despite appalling weather that affected all outdoor attractions, the park maintained market share and visitor spend from the previous year.
